Torrance has the second-largest concentration of people of Japanese ancestry of any U.S. city after Honolulu, alongside a significant Korean American population; the 2020 census recorded the population as 35.30 percent white, 35.26 percent Asian, and 19.09 percent Hispanic or Latino.
