Drammen, Norway

Drammen is a port city in Buskerud county, 39.7 kilometres southwest of Oslo. It combines a Regional-tier cluster — OBS Coop paired with three hardware chains and Elkjøp — and two Local-tier clusters built around Montér, XL-Bygg, Elkjøp, and Würth. Oslo sits 39.7 kilometres away by straight-line distance under the framework's continental reference-point set. Overview

Drammen recorded 106,013 residents as of the fourth quarter of 2025, on the Drammenselva river in southeastern Norway. The city formed in 1811 from three separate seaports and grew into a major maritime and timber-trading hub; a 2020 merger with Svelvik and Nedre Eiker municipalities made it Norway's seventh-largest city, with more than 100,000 residents. Drammen has won 21 environmental and urban-development awards since 2003, more than any other Norwegian city.
