Slovakia — Regional Market index

The Slovakia regional market index lists the 16 Slovak markets that meet the co-location system's composition gates. No Slovak market sits within 32 kilometres of its metropolitan reference point — the country has no close-in metropolitan-fringe entries of the kind that dominate the British and Italian sets.

Coverage

No rank or score is published for any market in this table. Every market below qualifies under the framework's Regional Market composition gate — a hypermarket anchor paired with at least two of {hardware, price club, lifestyle, electronics, sport} across the market's co-location clusters. Full methodology: Regional Markets Intelligence System.

The metropolitan reference point recorded for each market is the nearest major metropolitan centre in the framework's continental reference set — a straight-line (crow-flies) distance measurement, not a drive-time or commuting estimate. It is not a claim that the market functions as a commuter suburb of that centre. Eleven of Slovakia's 16 reference points sit within the country — Košice for six entries and Bratislava for five. The remaining five cross a border: three to Budapest, Hungary, and one each to Kraków and Katowice in Poland. Slovakia's median reference distance is 84 kilometres, and no market sits beyond 137 kilometres from its reference point.

Catchment population is recorded for 8 of the 16 Slovak markets in the current dataset build, and absent for the rest. Consumer-spend coverage matches it market for market. These are disclosed gaps in the underlying source data; a market without a figure is stated as such rather than presented as zero.

Cluster composition

The 16 markets carry 19 co-location clusters between them — 13 Tier 1 and six Tier 3. As in Hungary, no Slovak market carries a Tier 2 cluster. Thirteen of the 16 carry at least one Tier 1 cluster, and three qualify on Tier 3 clusters alone.
