The **Finland regional market index** lists the 19 Finnish markets that meet the co-location
system's composition gates under the current 2026-08-07 dataset. The 19 markets run from Espoo,
on Helsinki's western edge, to Rovaniemi at the Arctic Circle and Joensuu on the eastern
frontier, rather than clustering around a single metropolitan core.

No rank or score is published for any market in this table. Every market below qualifies under
the framework's Regional Market composition gate — a hypermarket anchor paired with at least
two of {hardware, price club, lifestyle, electronics, sport} across the market's co-location

The metropolitan reference point recorded for each market is the nearest major metropolitan
centre in the framework's continental reference set — a straight-line (crow-flies) distance
measurement, not a drive-time or commuting estimate. It is not a claim that the market
functions as a commuter suburb of that centre. Every one of Finland's 19 reference points sits
within Finland itself — Tampere for eight entries, Helsinki and Oulu for five each, and Turku
for one. No Finnish market references a metropolitan centre across a border, which
distinguishes it from every other Central and Northern European entry in this set. Finland's
median reference distance is 141 kilometres, the second longest in the European set after
Croatia: only four of its 19 markets sit within 80 kilometres of their reference point and nine
sit beyond 150.

Catchment population has not been computed for any of the 19 Finnish markets in the current
dataset build — Finland is one of six European countries without this figure in the 2026-08-07
release, alongside Bulgaria, Croatia, Norway, Romania, and Sweden. This is a disclosed gap in
the underlying source data, stated plainly rather than presented as zero.

## Cluster composition

The 19 markets carry 25 co-location clusters between them — 18 Tier 1, three Tier 2, and four
Tier 3. Seventeen of the 19 carry at least one Tier 1 cluster, and one qualifies on Tier 3
clusters alone.
